Galvalume Coil

Hot-dip Galvalume Steel Sheet (GL) is substrated on Cold Rolled Steel (CRC) in various strength and specification. Coating composition is 55% aluminum in weight ratio, 43.4% zinc, and 1.5% silicon, with excellent corrosion and heat resistance performance.

Hot-dip aluminum-zinc alloy-coated steel technology is successfully developed from Hot-dip aluminum and Hot-dip Galvanized processing, provided with long-term corrosion resistance and heat anti-oxidation resistance of aluminum and galvanic behavior effect of zinc, exerted their characteristics most. It makes the incision or scratch difficult to be corroded. The primary characteristics are as follows,

1) Smooth surface

Possessed by excellent corrosion resistance performance, it imparts corrosion resistance of up to 2 to 6 times than the life of galvanized steel.

2) Heat anti-oxidation resistance

There would be no tarnishing under long term application in 300 °C and could be under normal processed in 500 °C.

It is provided with excellent waterproof, soil corrosion resistance capability, which is better than hot-dip galvanized and aluminum in water proof capability, beyond hot-dip galvanized in corrosion resistance. It could be ideally applicable for mobile muffler, vent pipe, foodstuff dryer, heater etc. Furthermore, its heat reflection ratio is over 75%, which is 2 times than galvanized steel.

3) Excellent painted applied and processed capability.

Galvalume steel sheets are excellent in adhesion with coating layer and paint, so ones for sign board and general use may be painted without weathering or post-treatment. Its processed, welded capability is equal to galvanized steel, which could be processed by cold bending, casting. And it is in a beautiful appearance.

Moreover, the density of aluminum (3.7 kg/dm3) is lower than zinc (7.1 kg/dm3). The weight of Aluminum-zinc alloyed is much lighter in the same capacity, which saves enormously for expensive coated steel.
